Tendering for business
A major contract in Manilla
As part of a tendering process for a business contract in Manilla, one of our Latin-American clients was asked to issue a guarantee of some $25 million, in Philippine Pesos. The client needed to act quickly or lose out on the entire project, so he asked HSBC Private Bank to help.
Because of our global presence, we were able to connect-up our client with a local relationship manager from HSBC Commercial Bank in the Philippines. The close relationship of the client with HSBC Private Bank enabled them to leverage our local know-how and network in order to successfully deliver a local guarantee as requested.
Through three different continents (America, Europe and Asia), and three different time-zones HSBC Private Bank was able to coordinate seamlessly with the wider HSBC Group to deliver a broad range of services to the client.
